2         Informational use

For the informational use of our websites, we only collect the data that your browser automatically transmits to us, such as:

  • IP address (network address)
  • Address of the website you came from
  • Address of the files accessed (access address = URL)
  • Date and time of access
  • Operating system and browser version of your device (user agent)

The data is stored in (technical) logs.

2.1        Storage period

The storage period of this data (logs) is 180 days.

2.2        Legal basis of data processing

The above data is technically necessary in order to provide you with our websites and to ensure stability and security, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

3           Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enable certain functions within our websites. A cookie is a small information package and consists of a pair of data, a key and a value. A cookie is managed by the browser on the user's device and thus stored there. We may use cookies if they are absolutely necessary for the operation of our websites. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission. Some cookies are used by third parties that we have integrated into our websites.

When you contact us by email or telephone, the data you provide, e.g. your email address, your name, your telephone number and the content of the message, will be processed to clarify your request.

4.1         Storage period

We delete the data collected in this context after storage is no longer required for these purposes or restrict processing if statutory retention periods apply (archiving obligations for business and commercial letters).

4.2         Legal basis of data processing

The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Alternatively, the processing takes place in our and your interest in dealing with your request, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5           KFM valve sizing tool

Below we will inform you about the data that is processed when using the KFM valve sizing tool. In order to use the tool, you must first register. To do this, we process the data you provide during registration, such as your first and last name, company name, telephone number, email address and (if applicable) the content of the message, which you can enter in the open text field. After you register, we will activate your account and you can use the sizing tool.

We delete the data collected in this context after storage is no longer required for these purposes or restrict processing if statutory retention periods apply.

5.2         Legal basis of data processing

The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Alternatively, the processing is carried out in our and your interest in processing your request, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

6            Google Services

Below we inform you about services and data processing that are implemented by the external service provider Google, headquartered in the USA. Further information about Google can be found below in our data protection information (Integrated service providers).

 6.1        Google Analytics (web analysis)

In order to be able to understand how many visitors visit our websites, which content plays an important role and how we can make our websites more attractive, we collect data on your individual user behavior with your consent.

Your person is recognized by a pseudonym (sequence of numbers) that is stored in cookies as so-called user identification numbers (user ID or client ID). Your data is processed worldwide (distributed Google data centers). The following data is processed, among others:

  • Your (shortened) IP address, your (approximate) location
  • Information about your browser, operating system and device (desktop, tablet, smartphone, etc.)
  • Information about websites visited, the length of time spent on individual websites, links opened
  • Search terms that you have used on Google
  • Information in Google cookies already saved (e.g. from visiting other websites)
  • Link to your existing Google account (Gmail address)
  • This data is assigned to one or more unique pseudonymous user IDs, no specific data such as first and last name is used - however, your Google account could reveal clear information about your identity (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. Revocation of your consent:

You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating Google Analytics in the Consent Manager (cookie banner) or by generally only agreeing to the use of strictly necessary cookies.

6.1.1         Storage period

The data will be deleted after 14 months.

6.1.2         Legal basis of data processing

The processing of your data within the framework of Google Analytics is based on your consent (consent to cookies in the Consent Manager), in accordance with section 25 paragraph 1 TTDSG and Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) of GDPR. The processing of your data by Google is carried out as part of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. The processing of your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) is based on so-called EU standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission, which are intended to guarantee an appropriate level of data protection in countries outside the EEA. 8.2         Right to object to direct marketing and processing in our legitimate interest

If we process your data exceptionally on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR (legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing of data concerning you at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. If we cannot prove compelling legitimate grounds for further processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if we process the data in question for the purposes of direct advertising, we will no longer process your data (see Art. 21 GDPR). If we enable you to exercise your objection using technical means, we will inform you about this in the individual data processing operations above in our data protection information.

8.3         Right of revocation if consent has been given

You have the right to revoke your consent to the collection and use of your data at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
